1. Who we are

Sonic ID is the trading name of a partnership between VoicesBazaar and Brand Content Strategy.

Brand Content Strategy, a sole proprietorship based in Pune, India, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site and the contracting party for client engagements.

VoicesBazaar, the trading name of Decilabs Creative Technologies Private Limited, carries out music production and holds music licensing and registration.

2. Personal data we collect

2.1 Data you provide

Name, work email address, telephone number, company name, job title and the content of your message, where you supply these in an enquiry or in correspondence.

2.2 Data collected automatically

IP address, browser type and version, device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on site. This is collected by Squarespace, which hosts the site.

2.3 Data collected during an engagement

Business contact details of the individuals involved in a project.

3. Why we process it

  • To respond to enquiries and discuss possible work. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request, and legitimate interests.
  • To deliver and administer an agreed engagement. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To operate and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • To meet accounting, tax and other legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.
  • To send marketing email. Legal basis: consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it with:

  • Squarespace, for hosting, forms and analytics.
  • Google, for web fonts, which requires your browser to connect to Google servers.
  • VoicesBazaar, for music production, licensing and registration on an engagement.
  • Email and file storage providers.
  • Accountants, auditors and legal advisers.
  • Authorities, where required by law.

5. International transfers

We operate from India and some providers operate elsewhere. Transfers of personal data covered by the GDPR outside the European Economic Area rely on an adequacy decision or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months from the last exchange.
  • Engagement records: for the term of the engagement and for the period required by accounting and tax law.
  • Site analytics: as retained by Squarespace.

7. Your rights

Subject to your location and applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Requests are made through the contact page and answered within 30 days.

7.1 India, Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023

Data principals may request a summary of their personal data, correction and erasure, and may nominate another person to exercise these rights. Grievances should be sent through the contact page, marked for the attention of the Grievance Officer.

7.2 European Economic Area and United Kingdom

You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

Squarespace sets cookies necessary for the site to function and cookies that record visits for analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.

9. Security

Access to personal data is restricted to those who need it, accounts use multi-factor authentication where available, and data in transit is encrypted. No system is completely secure.

10. Children

This site is intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The version published on this page applies.
